3-Axis CNC Machining

3-axis CNC milling is the most widely used machining method and is ideal for producing flat surfaces, pockets, drilled or tapped holes, and general prismatic geometries. It offers reliable accuracy for straightforward mechanical parts with standard tolerances around ±0.1 mm, while precision suppliers can achieve ±0.05 mm for features that require tighter control. 4-Axis CNC Machining

4-axis CNC milling introduces a rotational axis, allowing the part to be machined around multiple faces without manual repositioning. 5-axis CNC milling enables machining of complex shapes, steep angles, deep pockets, and multi-surface geometries in a single setup, offering the most advanced capability of the three processes. Standard achievable tolerances typically fall within ±0.02–0.05 mm, while high-end suppliers can hold ±0.005–0.01 mm for precision-critical parts.
